Well, just like Aunt Julie said, everything is better in the morning.
It turns out the recovering Meth addict was really an exceptional mechanic and all the bells, whistles and staples work now on the Sorento. So it was loaded with the items I have been rearranging by the door for days. First in went Louie's bed. He saw it right away and began his clingy, pacing 'I don't know what is happening' routine. I would have put the vodka and cranberry juice in first; but I didn't think it appropriate to have it that close to the driver.
Once everything was loaded, I ran through the house 14 more times to see what I might have missed; and found quite a few items. The last thing I loaded was the destination address into the GPS. And then we were off.
I was so emotional as I drove away like I couldn't believe it was happening or I was petrified it was happening. I started off with the Dixie Chicks because they make everything better. The album has the I Believe in Love song on it and when I got to these lyrics,
Silence stared me in the face
And I finally heard its voice
It seemed to softly say
That in love you have a choice
Today I got the answer
And there's a world of truth behind it
Love is out there waiting somewhere
You just have to go and find it
...I knew I could now dry my tears..
I looked around and realized the first thing I have to do is get over the mountain. So I put both hands on the wheel and took to the Blue Ridge like my life depended on it.

Recipe: The Skyline Chili is not all it is cracked up to be!
Roadtrip: States covered today, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Renovations: Keep in mind that there are people like my new favorite mechanic who 'ain't never been anywhere, cept that one time (he) got to go to New Mexico'...so thank God everyday for the opportunities you have in this life.
